Our Events
We host events that build and strengthen community, and that celebrate and uplift our Pacific Islanders by amplifying the voices of leaders and organizations driving the advancement of Pasefika people with excellence. Our events serve as a powerful platform for Pacific Islanders to embrace their innate mana, harness their gifts, and take their place as integral weavers in the fabric of our collective success.

Polynesian Heritage Awards
The Polynesian Heritage Awards is an annual celebration of Polynesian excellence across Northern California. With a red carpet, live music, cultural performances, and an inspiring award ceremony, we bring our community together in a night of recognition, unity, and pride. This event honors the achievements and decades of contributions made by the Polynesian community, creating a space where we celebrate one another, with one another.

Pasefika Women Wavemakers
Pasefika Women Wavemakers is our annual Women's History Month celebration, honoring the powerful women leading the charge for our communities. This event is a day of HERstory, featuring inspiring Pacific Islander CEOs, Executive Directors, Clinicians, Elected Officials, Entreprenesians, Community Advocates, and Cultural Practitioners. Through storytelling, shared wisdom, and collective empowerment, we create a space rooted in us, for us—lifting each other as we rise.

Pasefika Visions of Resilience
Climate Justice Showcase
The Pasefika Visions of Resilience Climate Justice Showcase is a vibrant celebration that unites our community in a shared vision—a vision of hope, strength, and a fossil fuel-free future. It is a gathering where the voices of our youth and young adults across seven Northern California counties rise together, advocating for climate justice through the power of art.
Through creative expression, these young advocates breathe life into the urgent need for environmental and climate action, using their art as a tool for storytelling and a bridge to a better tomorrow. In this space, we are not only restoring cultural arts but reviving the ancient traditions of our ancestors, who spoke through song, dance, and creation to preserve the earth’s natural harmony. This showcase is more than an event; it is a platform that amplifies the voices of Pasefika youth, reminding us of our sacred responsibility to protect our homes, both here in the diaspora and in our Moana (motherlands). Together, we are raising awareness, fostering engagement, and lighting the path toward a future where the resilience of our people and the planet shines brighter than ever before.

Miss Samoa Golden Gate Scholarship Pageant
The Miss Samoa Golden Gate Scholarship Pageant is a young women's empowerment event designed to inspire and uplift young Samoan women in the San Francisco Bay Area. This platform encourages them to rise, use their voices to advocate for the causes they believe in, and serve as strong representatives of our communities and homelands, American Samoa and Samoa. More than a pageant, this is a movement—cultivating leadership, cultural pride, and a legacy of excellence.

Next Goal Wins Community Screening with
Jaiyah Saelua
We had the immense honor of hosting a community screening of Taika Waititi's film Next Goal Wins, featuring the inspiring story of Jaiyah Saelua. Hailing from Leone, American Samoa, Jaiyah joined our Bay Area Pasefika community to share her journey, wisdom, and the resilience that has made her a trailblazer in the world of sports. As the first FIFA Legend from Oceania, her groundbreaking achievements continue to uplift and inspire the next generation of Pasefika change-makers. We were proud to celebrate her years of dedication, representation, and excellence, honoring the legacy she continues to build for our people across the world.
